On several oc casions we have discussed the question of the Hongkong University, and as I have stated to you,
it seems to me very desirable that same body should be set up in London to consider all matters in connection with the University.
Apart from any immediate questions that will require settling, such a body should investigate what the probable position of the University may be when we get
to ascertain whether there back to Hon kong, and endeavour is anything that can, or should be done, in preparation for re-starting the various faculties.
I do not profess to know much about the
academic side, but I have a fair knowledge of the
financial side, and of course would be ready at any time to supply any information which would be of use.
